Description:The idea to record and produce Ashly's album came about when I heard a few rough recordings she had made with her Uncle. Her singer/songwriter style is very melodic and I felt that it would lend itself well to a pop/rock style. At the time Ashly let me take the music into whichever direction I wanted, but she later had me remix some of the tracks, leaving out all the instruments except the piano and her voice, so that she could have a simplified version to sell at the various theatre shows and concerts she is in. Track List: 1. A Mystery Now 2. Fall Back to Me 3. Often Ophelia 4. Golden Boy 5. Nightwalk 6. The Ghost 7. Lush 8. Dream 9. With You Tonight 10. You and I 11. Golden boy (Rah-Rah-Rave-Remix) Unreleased Tracks: Loud and Clear, The Coffee Shop Credits: All songs written by Ashly Will except: Fall Back to Me, Often Ophelia, and Golden Boy Remix by Ashly Will and Ky Fifer Tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 arranged by Ky Fifer Ashly Will - Piano, Lead and Back-up Vocals, Ky Fifer - Lead and Rhythm guitars, Bass, Percussion, Producer & Audio Engineer Tiger Fifer - Cover Art and Design, Back-up vocals on The Coffee Shop Katy Dutra - Back-Up Vocals on The Coffee Shop Project
Title: Ashly Will

Description: Dustin and his family wanted to record a christmas cd and give it out as their present to their friends. Dustin's goal was to include all the singers in his family... and there are a lot! It was a lot of work for him I think, having to arrange the music, working with little kids and people who are unaccustomed to a recording situation, but considering the time crunch and the fact that I only spent about 7 hours mixing and mastering it all, I have to say that it sounds really good (in a hokey shmaltzy holiday way). Track List: 1. Go Tell It On The Mountain 2. One Small Child 3. O Come O Come Emanuel 4. Away in A Manger 5. River 6. Christmas without You 7. Red Red Rose 8. Running Back to You All songs by 'traditional' except: River (Joni Mitchell), Christmas Without You (Dustin Rose), Red Red Rose (Dustin Rose/Robert Burns) and Running Back To You (Dustin Rose) Credits: Dustin Rose - Guitar, Bass, Vocals Andrea Rose - Vocals, Flute Barry - Guitar, Vocals Amber Schroeder - Vocals Jeff Schroeder - Vocals Ky Fifer - Bass and Back-Up Vocals on Running Back To You Project

Four
Minutes To
Forget
Project
Description:I was invited to compose the score to this dark art film that my friends were working on. I ended up using it as my final project for my Music For Film class Fall of 2006. When I asked them what kind of music they wanted, I was told to "Make it Techno." My friend Allison explains the movie in her words: "This movie was inspired by a sculpture of Greg the Mighty by the Lovely and Talented TigerBrooke Fifer. And is dedicated to them, so there. My original concept was much different from what has now become the movie "Four Minutes to Forget." It originally involved a phone booth, blood and a few other things. But seeing as time was a huge factor in this piece the original phone booth idea wasn't gonna happen. (Too much wiring involved.) It will however probablly go down next term and then more videos will happen after that. After this idea I have become pretty enamored with Happenings/Preformance/Time-Based Art and the idea of using video as a medium/canvas. I will hopefully be more involved with the video editing and music than I was this time around. That is not to say the video editing and music were not amazing works of art in themselves, because they were damn it. What came about was NOT what I originally wanted but in the end way above and beyond anything I originally had in mind. This is what happens when you are lucky enough to work with such talented individuals. I have been blessed with some amazing friends and I need to take them all out for a latte. Anyway, The movie "Four Minutes to Forget" does not take place in true time and space but is a metaphor. The Introspective, (female character) is a personification of the consciousness of the mind. Basically, the wall of plaster casts represent memories and past emotions and experiences. So the woman goes through this one particular experience (I'll never tell you which memory of mine it is so don't ask) and reviews and reflects and relives her past. The movie is supposed to be in a very dream-like and surrealistic state for the viewer. There are good and bad emotions there, everything ranging from love to hate. It is the spectrum of the human mind that excites and facinates me. The paint is not blood. It is also a representation of how memories can become obscured or washed out over time. Or even painted out, (excuse the expression). Also, the content of this video is not meant to be sexual in anyway shape or form. I understand that some of the audience may walk away with that idea or impression but it was not the intent. There is passion and tenderness but nothing overtly sexual. Anyway, So she goes on to destory and dismantle the past, breaking down the pieces, until the mind is satasified. Then she walks away from the whole mess, exhausted and exilirated. It's the start of a new beginning, a parting with the past." Credits: Alison Schurr - Concept/ Main Character Tiger Fifer - Concept/ Sculpter Greg Nishikawa - Cameraman/ Editer Ky

Description:For my Recording and Music Production class, we were asked to do scores to some flash animations done by other students. This animation was done by my very talented sister Tiger. The original animation was done to a demo of the same song with a drastically different arrangement (consisting of guitar and my sister singing). I wrote the music and the melody of the song with a poem that Tiger had written as the lyrics. I had to do an all vocal arrangement of the song because most of my recording gear and my guitars were being stored away for a gig. So, here's an all vocal arrangement that I'm pretty pleased with. Necessity is the mother of invention. |

Description:(Click the above image to see the old Richard Prior Website) Back in highschool I was asked to join my buddy's Nick and Alex for a sophomore effort under the title of 'Richard Prior'. This little gem was recorded in the latter part of summer 2000. Alex and Nick wrote this little blurb: "Although we really half-assed it, the songs are more developed than the debut album and people seem to like this one much more. It took us about a month to record, and although we may never be fully satisfied with it, this album truly ROCKS! 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' is a fan favorite, and although it was surprisingly difficult to pull of live, the difinitive version can be found on this album. 'Ronald Reagan' is also superior to the embrionic version on the first album. 'Jackson 12' will scare your children." The recording process was kind of overly simplified, but I still get a kick out listening to this cd. We played the instruments live in one room and recorded the vocals later. We just miked everything and recorded onto my Tascam 8-track tape recorder. The tracks were then mixed onto Alex's computer where they were given a little eq and burned onto a cd. *I wrote a fair share of songs as a member of Richard Prior but at the time that this album was recorded we hadn't learned them and/ or they weren't completely done being developed. We had started a new album tentatively titled 'Awful Waffle' that we never finished. Consequently, many of the songs I wrote have been or will be recorded as 'Ginchy.' Track List: 1. Ronald Reagan 2. Shiny Thing? 3. Bowling With Presidents 4. Bob Dole 5. George Bush 6. Betty Ford 7. Runaway 8. Calvin Coolige 9. Mailman 10. MST3K 11. Jackson 12 12. Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom 13. Killitor 14. Fair and Square 15. We'll Never Write a Song about Bill Clinton 16. Richard Nixon 17. Abe Lincoln 18. Totally Bill Gates 19. The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill 20. Depoe Bay (Live) Instrument Credits: Alex Arrowsmith: Keyboards on all tracks except 'Shiny Thing?' on which he played drums. Nick Pounders: Guitar on all tracks except for 'Fair and Square' and 'Runaway' on which he played drums. Ky Fifer: Drums on all tracks except for 'Runaway' and 'Fair and Square' on which he played guitar and 'Shiny Thing' on which he played keyboard. Songwriting Credits: I'm not completley sure who wrote what specifically. But I'll take a guess: Alex wrote tracks 3, 5, 12, 15 and 18 Nick wrote tracks 1, 6, 9, 13, and 17 Nick and Alex wrote tracks 4, 8, 11, and 16 together Ky wrote tracks 2 and 14 Del Shannon Wrote Runaway The Mystery Science Theatre 3000 Theme is from the show The Beatles Wrote The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill |

Title: The
Nelson and Terry Show
Project
Description:![]() My girlfriend listens to 105.1 in the mornings on her way to school. On the Nelson and Terry show she heard that they were looking for better jingles to play during their radio show, so they held a contest to find 'better' ones. Margie (my girlfriend) and I recorded and submitted two jingles one of which has gotten a lot of radio play. Jingle 1 (Queen meets Tenacious D) Jingle 2 (Margie power-pop) |

Project
Description: I've been playing live gigs with these guys on and off for the last 3 years (2003-2006). We've had our share of gigs and fun, but recently it's been hard to justify playing anywhere being as it often costs us more money to play than we make. Time taken off work is money lost, not to mention the fact that some of us have school, wives, kids and multiple jobs... so we came up with the idea that it would be beneficial to have a product to sell at our gigs. The idea was to record four of our original songs, two of Dustin's and two of mine, and at least break even. As recording progressed we hit a few stumbling blocks technically. Since we've always been a "plug in and play" kind of band focusing on our live sound, our instruments didn't translate the way we thought they would in a recording environment. The band wasn't happy with how they were sounding (myself included) so we pulled the plug and never released the tracks and my sister never quite finished the album art. Tracks: 1. Point Us At the Sky 2. To Kiss Her 3. Diamond Eyes 4. Running Back To You Credits: Mike Philips - Drums/ percussion all tracks Brandon Rose - Back-up vocals on tracks 1 and 2 Dustin Rose - Rhythm guitar on track 2, lead guitar on tracks 2 and 3, Bass on track 1, piano on track 4, lead vocals on track 2 and 4, back-up vocals on track 1 and 3. Ky Fifer - Bass on tracks 2, 3 and 4, rhythm guitar on track 3, lead vocals on tracks 1 and 3, back-up vocals on tracks 2, 3 and 4. Project

Recital
Project
Description:![]() Margie Hodgson, a voice student at PSU, approached me about having her senior recital recorded live. My friend Dustin and I used his portable recording unit for the actual recording of the recital and I processed and mixed it down on my computer. We used 3 microphones in the church where she performed, 1 for the piano and 2 for the room. The recording turned out quite well. Credits: Permormers: Signe Lusk (Piano Accompanist), Megan West (Mezzo-Soprano), Kaitlyn Gallacher-Turner (Soprano) and Margie Hodgson (Mezzo Soprano). Description:
Ah, the wonder of technology! You can have a band do a recording and never meet the other members. In fact, you don't even have to live in the same country! 'Grin Inside' came about when I answered an add for a singer on myspace posted by a Japanese gentleman named Da-ko. Da-ko is a very talanted musician and arranger, but he doesn't sing or write lyrics. The lyrics were written by my friend Rick (see Applesauce Armageddon) and I think our first collaboration turned out pretty darn good. Da-ko said that I should do more songs and I will, school allowing. I really dig the raw and dirty sound this guy creates in the studio. Description:
In an effort to develop my lyric writing skills I undertook another internet collaboration. I'm not sure where this guy's from (he's a little mysterious) but I'm pretty sure he's not from the states. His music made me think of VAST and NIN and it hearkened back to my highschool days, so I was inspired to write some rather unique lyrics. He said, "I like it," and that's all I've heard from him.
