The Oregon Coast
The spectacular Oregon Coast may not rival California's sun and smooth, wide expanses of sand in the eyes of many, and plenty of folks I know find the weather there a bit too fickle for their tastes, but I've loved every minute I've spent there. The rocky beaches and lighthouses are probably more reminiscent of the New England Coast than what most folks think the West Coast ought to be, but they have far more character than the lazy dunes of their sisters to the south. Secluded beaches, quaint harbors, scenic picnic areas and many, many campgrounds and forests make the Oregon Coast a true treasure trove. Even driving along the Pacific Coast Highway 101 is a pleasure and a feast for the eyes. Each town has something different to offer, and I plan to be adding more to this page soon.
