After completing his doctorate at the University of Oregon, Chris worked for the Ravenswood City School District in East Palo Alto, California as the district Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Coordinator. While there he led a district-wide effort focused on the implementation of School-wide Positive Behavior Interventions & Support in 11 schools.
Since coming to Portland State University, Chris has worked with a number of school districts in the Portland area to implement district-wide Positive Behavior Intervention & Support. Chris is also Vice President of the Board for the Northwest PBIS Network, Inc., a not for profit organization focusing on supporting the implementation of PBIS in schools throughout the Pacific Northwest.
At PSU, Dr. Borgmeier teaches Behavior Management in the Classroom (SPED 521), Advanced Behavior Management (SPED 510) and Classroom Assessment and Instructional Planning (SPED 519). He also leads a student Focus Area on Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports.
